THE CONDITIONS.

1946
Outdoor roots in Colorado.
FROM MOUNTAIN ROOTS
TO EVERYDAY LAYERS.
Gerry began in 1946 with equipment for outdoor use. Its Colorado roots remain part of a clothing range that includes outerwear, stretch bottoms and lightweight active layers.
The selection here focuses on men’s clothing with concrete differences: quilted warmth, full-length stretch pants, shorter trail coverage and a quarter-zip top. Fabric, insulation and water resistance vary by model.
A FEW THINGS
BEFORE HEADING OUT.
Which Gerry layer should come first?
Choose for the expected conditions. The quarter-zip is a lightweight layer; the puffer adds insulation. The selected pants provide full-length coverage, while the trail shorts use a 9-inch inseam.
Are the selected Gerry pieces waterproof?
The puffer and tech-pant listings describe repellent finishes. That is not a waterproof rating. Do not assume these pieces replace a dedicated rain shell in sustained rain.
How should Gerry pants and shorts be sized?
Compare waist and inseam measurements with the exact listing. The tech pants use waist-and-length combinations, while the trail shorts use letter sizes and an adjustable elastic waist.
What fabrics are used?
The puffer lists a nylon shell. The selected shorts list 93% polyester and 7% spandex, and the quarter-zip lists 92% polyester and 8% spandex. The tech-pant listing has conflicting blend percentages, so check its label for the exact composition.
How should Gerry clothing be washed?
Follow the label for the specific garment. The selected pieces are listed as machine washable, but temperature, drying and treatment instructions can differ. An insulated jacket may need different care from a stretch top.

Check measurements. Read the label. Match the layer.
